9Ni steel is an ultra-low temperature steel with a nickel content of 8.5% to 9.5%. It has the advantages of high yield strength and tensile strength, excellent low temperature toughness, good weld ability, and low cost, so it is manufactured at -196°C The most important structural material for low-temperature equipment is widely used in the manufacture of liquefied natural gas storage tanks and equipment, and the market demand is strong. Since the steel is used in special equipment, the quality requirements of the steel plate are relatively high.
The 9Ni steel developed by Hegang Wugang passed the technical review by the National Standards Commission in 2010 and successfully passed the renewal review in 2015. The maximum review thickness of the steel plate is 50mm, the highest in China. According to regulations, after the expiration of the certificate on December 14, 2020, the China Special Inspection Institute will conduct a new technical review of the quality assurance system and production equipment conditions of Hegang Wugang.

In the on-site inspection of the factory, the participating experts carefully reviewed the production resources and quality assurance capabilities of steel plates used for pressure equipment of HBIS Wusteel, and agreed that HBIS Wusteel’s quality assurance system is stable and feasible, production equipment conditions are excellent, and fully equipped with production pressure equipment.
